The School Guidance Counselors Job is to:

Consult with teacher’s and administration regarding student’s social and emotional needs

Consult with parents regarding any concerns about their children

Counsel individual student’s and small groups to help meet identified social, emotional, and academic needs

Develop a personal and trusting relationship with any student in need

Listen and console students no matter what issues arise

Treat all students equally

Believe in each student and encourage them to be the best person they could possibly be

Help all students deal with what is going on in their life in a nonjudgmental way
